Klaytn geared up to bring A-list entertainers to the metaverse with Animal Concerts
Kakao-backed public blockchain platform Klaytn is gearing up to bring A-list music entertainers and celebrities to the metaverse together with US-based metaverse concert organizer Animal Concerts. Starting with a collection of NFTs for a household name celebrity in Feb 2022, the partnership paves the way for Klaytn to eventually be the blockchain of choice for the global entertainment industry.
Klaytn’s new mandate to focus on the metaverse, gamefi, and the creator economy, leverages on the strengths of its 31-member Governance Council (GC). South Korean mobile game developer Netmarble is the co-creator of AI girl group MAVE, and there are 6 other GC members that are gaming-focused.
To support greater liquidity for the NFTs minted on Klaytn, the platform has integrated with OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace globally; it is now one of the only three blockchains that have native support on OpenSea. Klaytn has also partnered with Asian NFT marketplace EAST NFT to tokenize Asian content, starting with popular Y Series television shows in Thailand such as TharnType.
